So we know the Galaxy Note 3 is coming, we just don’t know exactly when. We know it’s coming around the time IFA takes place which is the first week of September, and it takes place in Berlin. We’ve seen tons of rumors of the device already and that’s not going to slow down anytime soon.
Today, a Korean media outlet is claiming that Samsung will announce the device on September 4th, which is just two days before IFA 2013 kicks off. Now we’ve heard some mixed rumors about when it’ll be launched. We’ve heard that it’ll be at an Unpacked event before IFA, which we expected. But we’ve also heard that Samsung won’t have a special event for it and just announce it at IFA. Which doesn’t make sense to me. This is one of Samsung’s flagship devices, so they have to have a big event to unveil it, right?
There are also rumors floating around that Samsung will also announce a wearable device. Perhaps a smartwatch? Sony already announced their second smartwatch earlier this summer when they announced their huge Xperia Z Ultra. We know that other companies are working on wearables and smartwatches, even Apple is working on the iWatch. Such a creative name, right?
As far as specs go, we’re expecting something in the realm of a 5.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display (probably the same panel as the Galaxy S4, just a bit bigger), Snapdragon 800/Exynos 5 Octa processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.3 out of the box along with a 3500mAh battery or larger. Of course, none of these specs are confirmed and we won’t know the official specs until Samsung does announce the device. Which hopefully will be on September 4th.
Nonetheless, when Samsung does finally announce the Galaxy Note 3, we’ll be covering it just like we do every other phone launch. So you’ll want to keep it locked to Android Headlines for all the details.
